Digital Instructional Resources ProgramsNew Streaming Video Coming Soon!In the coming weeks, Instructional Resources will add several new streaming video programs, exclusive for teachers in member schools (which includes ALL North Dakota schools)! For those teachers who don't like recording videos from our Early Morning Block Feed or Daily Schedule, or for teachers who miss a recording day, these new videos will give you the options you need to continue using quality educational videos in the classroom. Check back later for more details for how you can access these videos, or keep reading our monthly e-Newsletter. The following programs will soon be available as streaming video:
Assignment: The WorldThis weekly news program covers world and national events and explains why those events are important. ATW encourages a greater understanding of current events, serves as the basis for class discussions on news happenings, and sparks curiosity in the individual student to learn more about what’s going on in the world. NASA ConnectNASA Connect links the national mathematics and science standards to aeronautics and demonstrates the application of the standards through electronic fieldtrips by satellite and the Internet to the NASA workplace. Programs include a lesson, focus questions, a hands-on student activity and a comprehensive web-based component. Must have RealPlayer to view NASA Connect. If you don't have RealPlayer you can download it free at the RealPlayer Web site NASA SCIence FilesThe NASA SCIence Files is a standards-based, technology-focused series designed to integrate and enhance the teaching of math, science and technology in grades 3-5. The series uses problem-based learning and scientific inquiry, to introduce students to the excitement and exploration of real-world math, science, and technology. A user-friendly web site engages students, teachers, and parents in the learning experience by linking them to a world of formal and informal "learning opportunities" that include NASA programs, projects, and researchers.
