National Parks Foundation Electronic Fieldtrips
Electronic Field Trips connect students with national parks through a rich, virtual learning experience. Each field trip intertwines a park and a related subject matter and consists of two components: a televised and online broadcast featuring National Park Service Rangers and youth hosts as well as a companion website offering interactive tools for students and downloadable lesson plans for teachers. Coming February 2011: Gulf Islands National Seashore
1. Climate Challenge: North Cascades National Park – Students will explore the effects of climate change on the glaciers and habitats of North Cascades National Park. Topics include how and why the Earth’s climate changes over time, the relationships between glaciers and water supply, adaptation and migration of plants and animal species, and climate change as a global issue.
