time presentation and tells the story of a thirteenth century Welsh
castle. Author David Macaulay, who wrote and illustrated the best-selling
book of the same title, leads students on a tour of a fictitious
castle, explaining the castles cultural and sociological significance
as well as its architectural design.
This colorful and animated program dramatizes the building of the
castle and portrays the lifestyle of the early inhabitants. Macaulays
distinctive artistic style is captured in his narrative about castles
and the medieval period.
