North Dakota Outdoors is a series of programs containing three short segments about animals, places, and people in North Dakota. The segments were produced by the North Dakota Game and Fish Department and originally broadcast as a weekly news magazine. Materials and resources on specific animals or wildlife activities are available by calling the North Dakota Game and Fish Department at 1-701-328-6337.

Episode Descriptions

1 Hunting and Conservation — Old Hunter: Older hunter enjoys the outdoors. Young Hunter: "First time" deer hunters. Disabled Vets Goose Hunt: Special friends help hunters regain their sport.

2 Wild Beauty — Snow Geese: Learn about "white noise". Bighorns I: They vanished, but now they’re back. Bighorns II: Relocating in ND Badlands.

3 Legends & Myths — Old Coyote: A predator with a "double-sided personality". Wolves: Endangered, protected, and trying to find their niche. They’re Back! (Waterfowl Return): Unmistakable signs of spring

4 The Wilds at Your Back Door — Winter Feeders: Setting up bird feeders for the small and hardy. Zoo Story: Non-native wild animals prepare for winter. Bluebirds: Nature with birdhouses and trails.
