The programs of this the sixth Real Science! Once again each episode takes the students into the working world of science. Scientists demonstrate what they do for a living and describe how students would prepare for a similar career. Each program includes both action tips and curriculum advice.

1 It’s in the Water — Featured Scientists: Marine biologist Nate Brennan from Mote Marine Laboratory in Sarasota, Florida and marine biologist Sara Lindsay from Darling Marine Center in Walpole, Maine.

2 Up a Creek — Featured Scientists: Fish histopathologist, Beth MacConnell with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Center in Montana and aquatic biologist Dave Herbst from the Sierra Nevada Aquatic Research Laboratory in California.

2 Guardians of Nature — Featured Scientists: Wildlife rehabilitator, Julie Chantler from Bip Sky Wildcare in Bozeman, Montana and Resource Manager, Chris Lamond from Huntley Meadows Park in Alexandria, Virginia.

4 Animal Tracks — Featured Scientist: Wildlife ecologist, Bob Garrott from Montana State University. Taped in Yellowstone National Park.

5 Alien Invasion — Featured Scientists: Marine biologist, Jan Thompson from the U.S. GeologicaL Survey in Menlo Park, California and marine biologist Greg Ruiz from the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Edgewater, Maryland.

6 Robots in Charge — Featured Scientist: Roboticist engineer, Maynard Holliday from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California. Taped on location at NASA Ames Research Center.

7 Rainy Day — Featured Scientist: Environmental biologist Rick Constanza from the New York Department of Environmental Conservation. Taped on location in the Adirondack Mountains, NY. Also, sports scientist David Donatucci, from International PerFormance Institute in Bradenton, Florida.

8 Virtual Vision — Featured Scientists: Petroleum geologist, Marcia Houghton from Chevron in San Ramon, California and aerospace engineer Cedric Walker from NASA Ames Research Center in California.

9 Rock Stars — Featured Scientists: Geologist, Paula Messina from San Jose State University researches the mysterious "dancing rocks" of Death Valley National Park in California. Also, mineralogist Steve Chamberlain who studies Herkimer diamonds in New York state.

10 Threatened Plants — Featured Scientist: Botanist, Robin Kimmerer is studying native plants used by Native Americans and trying to re-plant endangered species in New York state.

11 The Big Digs — Featured Scientists: Paleontologist, Spencer Lucas from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Also, civil engineer, Leila Mahroom from Bay Area Rapid Transit discusses plans for an underground subway system to San Francisco Intenational Airport.

12 Thrills and Chills — Featured Scientists: Mechanical dngineer Jeff Pike discusses roller coaster design. Also, chemical engineer Amie Dachtler from Arthur D. Little in Boston, MA.

13 Bridges to the Future — Featured Scientists: Computer game developer, Dana Tom from Electronic Arts in Redwood City, Califomia discusses motion capture technology and wood product biologist Sue Anagnost studies covered bridges.
