Workplace
Essential Skills was designed particularly for the unemployed and
the underemployed and to help learners improve their opportunities
in the workplace. This exciting series helps adult learners develop
the essential skills necessary for finding and keeping a job. Each
half-hour program presents documentary footage of people working
in a wide variety of jobs; real-life interviews with job seekers,
employers and employees; scripted scenarios weaving stories of people
looking for and getting started in new jobs; and a host to offer
additional information.
The
Literacy Link Workplace Essential Skills Teacher's Guide gives instructors
a practical, powerful tool to help them make effective, well integrated
use of all three Workplace Essential Skills media: video, print,
and online. Sections correspond to a video/workbook/online set of
lessons and contain learning objectives plus sample lesson plans.
