Super WHY! Learning Adventures Tool Kit

.This DVD includes a full five-day curriculum designed to help kids ages 3 to 6 with the critical skills they need to learn to read (and love to read). You will find step-by-step instructions and activity suggestions to complete interactive reading adventures with young children. All songs, music, and video clips are included on the DVD.

After reviewing the PDF of the curriculum, decide if you would like to implement all or part of the activities in the tool kit. Tool Kits are available free of charge from Education Services. Contact us at 701-239-7574 or education@prairiepublic.org.

PBS Kids GO! Writers Contest

.The PBS KIDS GO! Writers Contest is for all kids in kindergarten-3rd grade who want to write and illustrate their own stories. Winning stories are featured on the Prairie Public website with authors receiving prizes. Plus, everyone who enters gets a Certificate of Achievement and personalized, positive feedback about their story.

Martha Speaks Reading Buddies Program

.Developed to accompany the Martha Speaks television series, this cross-age reading program is an innovative way for kindergarten and upper-level elementary students to increase their vocabulary, develop their self-esteem and social skills, and enhance their love of books and reading.

Find everything you need for a successful Martha Speaks Reading Buddies Program on the Martha Speaks website, including resources for teachers, students, and families. Also available on the website are videos that explain or model various aspects of the program.

All Martha Speaks episodes included in the Reading Buddies Program can be streamed online for free or purchased through iTunes.
