Is It Right For You?

To determine if a home-based business is for you, ask yourself the following questions:

1. Are you self-disciplined? Do you complete tasks without having to be reminded?

2. Are you goal driven? Do you set goals and targets for yourself to achieve and do you monitor your achievement?

3. Do you manage details effectively? Are you organized?

4. Do you work well on your own? Can you stay motivated without other people around?

5. Do you know how to use personal computers?

6. Do you have business relationships and advisors you can turn to for insights and information?

7. Do you have a family that supports your efforts and business dreams?

8. Are you willing to learn new skills in order to develop and manage your business?

9. Are you a problem solver? Do you look for solutions? Do you know how to gather information from resources such as a library reference desk or electronic bulletin board?

10. Do you the financial backup to ride the ups and downs of starting a business?

If you have answered "yes" to these questions, you are in a good position to develop and start a home-based business. If you answered "no" to any of these questions, don't stop now. Develop strategies for overcoming the barriers and shortcomings. If starting a business is your dream, pursue it with your whole being.
