Are You
Ready?
Questions to Consider
The old adage "Look before
you leap" was never more appropriate than when you're thinking about
making the leap to the web as a part of your marketing strategy. If
you think you're a candidate for web marketing, you need to look at
what you want to accomplish with your site and whether it works into
your marketing plan. The first step in the process is to take a close
look at your business plans and examine how the web will fit in. Start
with these questions.
What do you find to be
the marketing challenges facing your business?
How strong are your traditional
marketing efforts? Can you build on your strengths?
- Newspaper advertising
- TV advertising
- Radio advertising
- Brochures
- Direct Mail
- In-person sales
- Trade shows
- Coupons/specials/sales
Do you see that online
marketing will enhance your current marketing efforts? Or will it
replace something you're doing now that is losing effectiveness?
Have you spent time on
the web? What were your impressions?
How do you think web marketing
will fit into your overall marketing plan?
What steps
do you need to take to get ready for web marketing?
Where will you get the
skills or knowledge you need before you can market your business online?
Who do you believe would
be your potential customers? Are they online now? Is your competition
online?
What techniques of web
marketing do you think have potential for your business?
What ideas do you have
about how your business can effectively market online?
How can you attract potential
customers to your site rather than your competitors?
