Weaver Fever
piecing by Connie Selle
machine quilting by Monica Stallman

LARGE VIEW | DETAIL

After the flood waters of the Red River receded came the Herculean task of cleaning up and putting lives back together. Connie Selle started this wonderful quilt as a class project. It was all basted and ready for quilting when the flood hit Connie's home. During cleanup she decided to save this quilt- even though it was a waterlogged mess at the time. She pulled out all the basting stitches, threw out the batting and washed, and washed, and washed. And then she passed it on to Monica Stallman to quilt. It's nice to know that quilts (and quilters) can survive just about anything.
