Fargo Theater Commemorative
by Virginia Dambach, Kim Baird, Fawsia Khan

| LARGE VIEW | DETAIL

Commemorative quilts are very popular fund raising projects for community events. What better way to raise needed funds while getting a chance to practice your creativity and quilting skills. Kim, Fawzia and Virginia collaborated on the design, construction and quilting of this raffle quilt for the historic Fargo theater. They added in motifs that spoke of this historic film theater like the drama masks with the faces of Laurel & Hardy, the stops of the famous pipe organ, the beautiful art deco lighting fiztures, and the film winding through the appliqué made of two different ribbons. They even used pieces of the original red velvet upholstery from the theater seats.
