Prospering, which aired on Prairie Public Television, introduced prairie-region farmers and ranchers who found new ways to prosper while still living off the land. The program featured ranchers who gave up their solitary ways to invite tourists to stay in an unused log cabin, ranchers who traded their cattle for buffalo, and farmers who farm smarter by cutting costs or diversifying into crops no self-respecting farmer would have been caught dead planting a couple of years ago.
