With few exceptions,
North Dakota's smaller rural communities have been suffering along
with the farmers and ranchers who provide most of their business.
Many of these cities have tried a variety of ways to attract new businesses
to settle in their area and boost their economies. These attempts
have not always been successful. Yet some cities have learned from

They've worked to discover their own strengths. From this information
they've forged answers to what their city needs to move forward.
