Laura Hart's business of making and selling container candles started small, in her basement, but the success of Candlelight Cottage has meant moving her goods the neighboring double garage on their farmstead. Husband Kim says he is surprised but happy about the success of the business. "There are a few more things around because of the candles in terms of things we can buy." Laura says the business could grow even bigger at this point, but she wants to keep it at a manageable level, noting that farming is still the main source of income for the Harts. Laura makes her candles out of Soy and they are one of the more popular items every year at the Pride of Dakota Showcase shows.
