Adding Value is a half-hour documentary that explores the unique ways in which North Dakota farm families make extra income that allows them to continue to live in the rural areas they so love. Producer Matt Olien and Videographer Lee Westad have documented a diverse group of farm families who manufacture a wide array of products. The State of North Dakota aids these entrepreneurs with marketing advice and help and through the popular Pride of Dakota Showcase shows where vendors gather in a large auditorium to sell their goods to the public. Adding Value demonstrates the long standing independent spirit of North Dakota entrepreneurs.
