Construction Myths
Contrary to the idea that massive construction
must accompany "attractions", in fact, North Dakota can
attract a segment of the 8 billion dollars from birding eco-tourism
with modest investments in the extension of seasonal availability
of accommodations and eating establishments, renovation of existing
homes and abandoned/disused farm dwellings, and the addition of amenities
such as high speed internet, hot tubs, and air conditioning for existing
establishments. North Dakotas vast f prairie and wetlands region
IS the primary attraction for eco tourists. Development on a large
scale would be economically unfeasible and unsustainable while the
return on investment for modest improvements could be recovered quickly
and result in sustainable net profits.
