Customer Service

The eco-tourism business proprietor, guides, and those involved directly in providing service are just the beginning. Newcomers arriving to view our region for the first time will have lots of questions. And most likely, the eco-tourism site will be the last place/person they’ll visit with, not the first. The first point of contact at the gas station, the local café, or a local resting on a bench in front of an interesting old building will provide that critical "firsts impression" and could have the greatest impact on the long-term success of the entire eco-tourism venture. The entire community is in "sales". The entire community needs to be aware of the various sites and the specific things that make them unique, historic buildings and their significance, and to be able to talk about those aspects of the community and the region with pride…or at least direct the visitor to an appropriate person with enthusiasm.

"Once they've gotten here, they'll say this is the best keyp secret out there."
