Registering
To Vote
North Dakota
North Dakota does
not have voter registration, however, when you show up at the polls
you may be challenged and be required to complete a voter affidavit
certifying that you meet the qualifications to vote in that precinct.
In order to vote
in ND, you must be:
- A U.S. citizen
- At least 18
years old on the day of an election.
- A legal ND
resident.
- A resident
in the precinct for 30 days preceding the election.
If a resident
who otherwise meets the qualifications for voting in North Dakota
moves from one precinct to another within thirty days preceding any
election they are still qualified electors of the precinct they moved
from.
Minnesota
You can vote if
you are...
- 18 or older
- a US citizen
- a Minnesota
resident for at least 20 days before the election
- not a convicted
felon without your civil rights
- not under guardianship
of a person
- not legally
incompetent
You can register
in person or obtain a mail-in application from:
- County auditor's
office
- Division of
motor vehicles
- State, county
or city offices
- Public libraries
