An Evening With Leif Enger
Celebrating the rich literary tradition of books about North Dakota.

Leif Enger, author of the bestseller "Peace Like a River," delighted listeners and viewers across the prairie region during Prairie Public's live broadcast of Enger's speech to readers at the Fargo Theatre on Wednesday, September 20th.

The event was hosted by Read North Dakota, a project that promotes North Dakota literature and offers an Internet site that encourages conversation about the people, communities and values portrayed in books that have helped shape our state.

While visiting Fargo, Leif participated in a video teleconference with four high school English classes in the state. You may replay the teleconference which was recorded on September 13, 2006.

A followup teleconference was held with the same four high school classes after their classes completed the unit on Enger's novel Peace Like A River. You may also replay that teleconference in its entirety.
