With revolutionary changes in the last 25 years, older people can enjoy the benefits of living long and living well. The Healthworks special A Guide To Healthy Aging explored how you can develop a common-sense practical approach to diet, exercise, and health management that may mean adding extra years of active, healthy life. "Even though we're all getting older, we don't have to retreat to the rocking chair and vegetate," according to Healthworks producer Kim Stenehjem. "Even if you have a health problem, it's still possible to increase your fitness and feel better about yourself. And if you're currently blessed with good health, there are ways to maintain your fitness and continue an active, healthy lifestyle well into your later years." The Healthworks special A Guide To Healthy Aging aired live Wednesday, May 19th at 9 p.m. (CT) with a rebroadcast Sunday, May 23rd at 3:00 pm.
