Pharmacists are a critical link in communicating information about health and treatment. In recent Gallup poll studies, among a list of 26 professions, pharmacists received the highest ranking for honesty and ethical standards.

Pharmacists are accessible and are often willing to take the time to explain "the fine print".

In addition, by having all the prescriptions filled at the same pharmacy, the pharmacist is in a position to know about the wide range of medications and possible interactions that specialists who deal with only a targeted treatment area may not even be aware of.
