diabetes. This includes diabetes care and treatment
guidelines for health care professionals and people with
diabetes. Information on the impact, costs and prevention of
diabetes and its associated complications is available free

National Eye Care Project

The National Eye Care Project provides a variety of free
educational materials on diabetic eye disease and
information on available care and treatment services. This
includes patient and professional information on treatment
and care for preventing blindness. This organization keeps a
list of eye care specialists that provide free medical
services for disadvantaged senior citizens.

disabilities. This information includes; ambulance services,
counseling services, county social services, home health
care, home medical equipment, clinics and physician
services, In home services, legal assistance, meals on
wheels, free and reduced cost pharmaceutical services,
senior center services, support groups, transportation
services, and insurance counseling.
North Dakota Diabetes Youth Outreach Program

This nonprofit organization conducts diabetes education
workshops, clinics, and establishing support systems for
families and people with juvenile-onset diabetes. This Youth
Outreach team works with participating health care
professionals to develop comprehensive diabetes care plans.
Team members include a diabetes pediatrician, certified
diabetes nurse educator, dietitian, and social worker.
Clinic findings, recommendation and follow-up consultation
is provided to the attending physician on special care
concerns.
