North Dakota Diabetes Youth Outreach Program

This nonprofit organization conducts diabetes education workshops, clinics, and establishing support systems for families and people with juvenile-onset diabetes. This Youth Outreach team works with participating health care professionals to develop comprehensive diabetes care plans. Team members include a diabetes pediatrician, certified diabetes nurse educator, dietitian, and social worker. Clinic findings, recommendation and follow-up consultation is provided to the attending physician on special care concerns.
