management of diabetes, support groups for people with
diabetes, and for their families. Many diabetes education
centers also provide one-to-one counseling in meal planning,
medication management, and exercise program development.

American Association of Diabetes
Educators
The American Association of Diabetes Educators provides
national workshops and education materials for health care
professionals interested in diabetes education. This
organization can provide a list of available diabetes
educators and education programs in your area. This
organization also accepts applications for membership, and
provides information on qualifications and test dates for
taking the National Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
