Patrick Brown was born in a small log cabin along the Missouri River in central North Dakota. After a childhood of blissful frog trapping, Mr. Brown undertook a course of higher education leading to degrees in pyrotechnics and Eastern Philosophy. He later was institutionalized for reasons he refuses to discuss. At the age of 40 he escaped from the Rhame Institute for the Criminally Inane and became a writer.
