A few highlights from the Taste of the Valley / River Splash / KCCM Classical Music Festival Weekend (June 8-9, 2002)

Dozens of canoers participated in the 11th Annual Race the Red	Visitors took a carriage ride along the Red River provided by Alpine Carriage Rides.
Even man's best friend participated in the canoe race.	The Red River provides a chance for family fishing.
Children learned the basics of fishing, knot tying, casting, fish identification and safety at the Fun for All Fishing Clinic.	More than 100 children participated in the Lil' Fisherman's Derby.
River Keepers' S.S. Ruby allowed people an historic look at the Red River and its banks.
