11. Rev. William Cochran

William Cochran was the third missionary sent by the Church of England to the Red River settlement. For 40-years, much of the time in poor health, Cochran worked among the aboriginal people and Scottish settlers along the Red and Assiniboine rivers. He established five churches along the Assiniboine River, including St. Andrews in 1849 and St. Peters in 1854.
