Red River Elevation
Elevation
ranges from 800 to 1-thousand feet in the Red River Valley, with
the lowest readings occurring in the northeast corner of the state.
Wahpeton has an elevation of 965 feet while Pembina - 190 miles
to the north - has an elevation of only 789 feet. The Red River,
which flows through both communities, has a fall between them of
176 feet or approximately one foot per mile.
