Edna Goebel Johnson of Horace, North Dakota (pictured here with sister Martha Goebel Jenner) displayed her culinary talents by making a meatless verstion of the popular Knoephla Soup.

Edna ran the Johnson Cafe in Lehr, North Dakota, for thirty-five years, after which she became a culinary fixture for over ten years at the yearly Downtown Street Fair in Fargo, North Dakota.
