"The Pot Gang Bust"

On this date in 1908, there was, a bust made in the city of Fargo.

Thirteen gentlemen were arrested by Fargo Police officers for vagrancy and loitering. The “gang” was just starting their supper.
. And what a supper it was!

Their pots were full of catfish, vegetables and potatoes. Before eating the feast however, the officers ordered them to grab all of their cooking utensils.

After marching to city hall with their uneaten meal, they appeared in front of the judge. He confiscated their pots and pans and ordered them to leave town immediately.

We’re not sure, but this might have been the first “pot bust” in the city of Fargo.
