Duane Lee's "Just Jazz" airs Saturdays at 8 pm CT.

Duane's voice is one of the most familiar to North Dakota Public Radio. He brings us classical music every weekday afternoon, and does a great job of it, too.

But like most of us, Duane likes more than one kind of music. As it happens, he is a jazz lover, and he is having a great time doing this program. On "Just Jazz" you will hear mainstream jazz from way back in the bop era to contemporary releases. John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Scott Hamilton, Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Johnny Hartman, the LA Voices -- that gives you an idea.

To tell you the truth, Duane wondered if he had time on top of his other duties to do this show. So we decided to try it for a few months to see how it goes. Be sure to let us know what you think about it.

If you need to find out something about what was played, email Duane -- or just give him a call at 1-800-359-5566 ext. 205. Leave him a voicemail if he's not in.

Also, Duane has been making an effort to announce as many area jazz performances as he can find about. Click here to submit an event! Or call it in.
