Monday, February 6 – The disintegrating political climate in the US is the theme of a series of classes at the FM Communiversity. Since most of you can’t attend the classes, we’ll bring three of the presenters to you. Joining us are Jason Regnier of Concordia College; Phil Mouch of Minnesota State University, Moorhead; and Jack Zaleski of the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. ~~~ A song from Joseph DeMasi: “Christmas Time in Jail.”

Tuesday, February 7 – Global leaders met recently in Switzerland to discuss feeding the world. One of the participants was Robert Carlson, president of the World Farmers Organization. He’ll share with us some of the complex problems faced in feeding an ever-growing population. ~~~ A Plains Folk essay from Tom Isern.

Wednesday, February 8 – Comets and asteroids: Will they hit the earth? And what’s the potential aftermath? Those are the questions Dr. Corinne Brevik will be addressing at an upcoming presentation in at the Chateau de Mores Interpretive Center in Medora. She’ll give us a preview.

Thursday, February 9 – The 15th annual Great Backyard Bird Count is coming up. We visit with Marshall Johnson of Audubon North Dakota. He’ll also tell us about the Prairie Bird Initiative, a strategy to help the declining population in the grassland bird population. ~~~ Merrill has What’s Happening this weekend.

Friday, February 10 – Thomas Anderson is a musician, professor and private teacher based in Eastern North Dakota. Having studied with some of the very best in the world, Mr. Anderson is a premium classical guitarist. Now, he’s returned home to the Binford area to ranch! ~~~ Dave Thompson stops by to discuss the week’s headlines. ~~~ A movie review from Matt Olien.
