UND Oil Partnership with U of Bergen, Norway ~ Abortion Laws Discussion

  Wednesday, March 27 – The University of North Dakota is partnering with the University of Bergen in Norway as a means to explore the social problems stemming from oil development and to explore possible solutions. Joining us is Scott Johnson, the Institute for Energy Studies at UND. ~~~ Being a woman in the oil patch can make one feel like a sheep around a pack of wolves. In this Black Gold Boom report, we hear from Nathina St. Pierre, a Florida woman who moved to Watford City in search of a better life. ~~~ A story on Food Co-ops from Kia Miller. ~~~ The signing of North Dakota’s new abortion laws raises some interesting legal issues. Here to discuss this is Aaron Ley, assistant professor at UND in the Department of Political Science and Public Administration,. ~~~ Doug and Ashley have our What’s Happening calendar of events.
