Tuesday, November 19 – Marc de Celle has a new book that’s fresh off the press today. He stops by to preview “Close Encounters of the Fargo Kind,” subtitled “True Stories from a Kind, Happy, Little Planet in America.” It’s his sequel to “How Fargo of You.” ~~~ Author Rich Cohen has written “Monsters: The 1985 Chicago Bears and the Wild Heart of Football.” In addition to being a story about one of the NFL’s greatest teams ever, it’s also about a number of human issues, like what happens when you’re 28 and have already lived your dream, or suffer from CTE – Chronic traumatic encephalopathy? ~~~ Tom Isern has this week’s Plains Folk essay, “Learning From the Lindis.” ~~~ Today we remember Bob Litherland, Moorhead Dairy Queen owner credited with making the Dilly Bar famous. He passed away Monday at age 91.
