Wednesday, November 2 – Did you know that more than a third of the Union troops in the Civil War were foreign-born? That’s just one of the many interesting discoveries Larry Bramble made when researching his own family tree. His book, “For Liberty,” looks at the immigrant experience during this time of war. ~~~ Darrel Pittman of the Missouri Valley Historical Society is looking for some help. The Society is dismantling the historic WWII internment building on the campus of Bismarck State College and moving it to Buckstop Junction.
