Challenges Facing ND Electric Systems ~ Historic Places ~ Horticulturist Ron Smith

posted on 08/26/2013

Monday August 26 – The power grid is a key part of the infrastructure in western North Dakota, not only to supply the needs of the burgeoning communities, but also to export the region’s abundance of power. And in places, it’s an aging system built back in the 40s and 50s. Here to discuss the challenges are Daryl Hill of Basin Electric Power Cooperative, and John Skurupey of McKenzie Electric Cooperative. ~~~ The state Historic Preservation Board has the task of reviewing nominations to the National Register of Historic Places. Here to tell us about the sites under discussion is Lorna Meidinger, architectural historian at the State Historic Preservation Office. ~~~ Ron Smith has this week’s lawn and garden tips.
