  Wednesday, October 23 – Dr. Birgit Pruess and graduate student Meredith Irsfeld of NDSU stop by to discuss their research into ways E-coli bacteria can be rendered less dangerous. ~~~ Halloween is the time to celebrate the spooky. Today we explore the folklore of the prairie, with help from the North Dakota Council on the Arts. ~~~ Here to answer common energy-saving questions are Jason Schaefer and Chris Loveless of 401(e) Energy Services in Grand Forks. ~~~ NDSU historian Tom Isern has this week’s Plains Folk essay, “Ears to the Ground.”
