Extreme ND 36-Mile Swim ~ Horticulturist Ron Smith ~ Inside Energy

  Tuesday, June 16 – The longest open-water swim race in the country on the longest day of the year. Endurance swimming junkies from all over will descend on Grand Forks on June 21st to take a 36-mile dip in the Red. Here to tell us about it is Caleb Kobilansky of Extreme North Dakota Racing. ~~~ Former NDSU Extension horticulturist Ron Smith stops by to answer listener questions. ~~~ News director Dave Thompson updates us on the special session, and on an effort by the North Dakota Farmers Union to refer the corporate farming bill ~~~ Denmark gets some 40 percent of its power from wind energy…but it’s aiming for even more. In order to do that, it’s going to have to shake up the traditional relationship between electricity supply and demand.
