posted on 12/10/2009

Thursday, December 10 – Hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation are a big deal to North Dakota’s economy. How is climate change going to impact these industries? A Hunting for Solutions Roundtable will be held in Grand Forks on Monday, hosted by the UND Department of Biology. The event also will be broadcast via live video stream to locations in Devils Lake, Crookston, Fargo, Jamestown, and Bismarck. Joining us are Justin Allegro and Jason Schaefer of the National Wildlife Federation, which is organizing the event. ~~~ We get a chance to say farewell to NPR’s Carl Kasell, who has announced his retirement from the news desk. ~~~ Northern Plains Dance has brought in professional dancers from Salt Lake City and Nashville for performances of The Nutcracker, which opens tomorrow. We’ll visit with director Hollis Mackintosh. ~~~ Merrill has “What’s Happening” this weekend.
