  Tuesday, December 4 –  Meet Shannon Galpin. A Bismarck native, Shannon founded Mountain2Mountain, helping women in Afghanistan. She was subsequently honored by National Geographic, being named in the humanitarian category as Adventurers of the Year.  ~~~ Hamid Shirvani, Chancellor of the North Dakota University System, stops by to discuss higher education funding on the eve of the Governor’s budget address. ~~~ NDSU historian Tom Isern has this week’s Plains Folk Column, “Farm Life.”
