World Food Prize ~ Culinary Tips ~ Movie Review: The East

  Thursday, June 27 – The World Food Prize recognizes the achievements of individuals who have “advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity or availability of food in the world.” It’s become controversial this year, being awarded to Robert Fraley, a long-time vice president of research for Monsanto. Doug Gurian-Sherman of the Union of Concerned Scientists argues that Fraley’s contributions are questionable and the award tainted, since Monsanto sponsors the award.
