“National Rural Health Day” ~ Prairie Roots Food Co-op ~ Chef Rosie on Turkeyposted on 11/21/2013
Thursday, November 21 – In North Dakota, 58% of the communities have populations of 200 people or less. On this “National Rural Health Day” we discuss the issue of providing service in a rural state with Brad Gibbens, deputy director for the Center for Rural Health; and Darrold Bertsch, hospital administrator from Hazen, ND and a member of the North Dakota Rural Health Association. ~~~ Chuck Lura takes us to Icelandic State Park in this week’s Natural North Dakota essay. ~~~ Prairie Roots Food Co-op is holding a 100 Mile Thanksgiving Market. Here to explain is the co-op’s membership director, Kaye Kirsch. ~~~ Chef Tim Rosendahl of Square One Kitchens in Fargo is here to discuss your Thanksgiving turkey. ~~~ Doug and Ashley have our What’s Happening calendar of events.
