  Wednesday, December 4 – Uncomfortable, overwhelmed or intimidated when it comes to your health insurance options? The NDSU Extension Service is looking to help with a new program called “The Smart Choice,” which will soon be coming to several locations across the state. Joining us from Minot is Lori Scharmer, NDSU Extension family economic specialist. ~~~ Commentary from Bruce Berg: “Old and New.” ~~~ NDSU history professor Tom Isern has this week’s Plains Folk essay, “Te White.” (te fitty) ~~~ Speaking of Dr. Isern, he’s just back from a research trip to New Zealand. He’ll share some of his adventures. ~~~ UND engineering professor George Bibel makes a study of engineering-related disasters. He’s the author of “Train Wreck: The Forensics of Rail Disasters.” He joins us today to discuss the recent train wreck in New York.
