Kids Counts ~ Fungi ~ Western North Dakota Exploration

  Tuesday, April 1 –Kids Count has issued a report called “Race for Results, building a path to opportunity for all children.” It looks at key indicators of health, education, and economic security across racial and ethnic groups. Joining us are Debora Painte and Sandra Bercier of the Native American Training Institute in Bismarck. They’ll tell us about the institute and discuss some of the issues outlined in the report. ~~~ In today’s Natural North Dakota essay, Doug Lura discusses fungi. ~~~ Writer Taylor Brorby recently spent time touring Western North Dakota. He interviewed dozens of residents and took more than a thousand photos, and he’ll be speaking about his experience this week at Concordia College. ~~~ Diane Beth Bradley shares an essay on colonoscopy she calls “Running on Empty.”
