Monday, June 16 – The American Council for Medicinally Active Plants conference is underway in Fargo. One of the visiting speakers is Dr. Mark Wahlqvist. Among his many hats, he is a Consultant Physician and has held chairs in Human Nutrition, Medicine, Epidemiology & Preventive Medicine at Melbourne’s Deakin and Monash Universities and been Chair of Internal Medicine at Prince Henry’s Hospital and the Monash Medical Centre, in Melbourne. He was President of the International Union of Nutritional Sciences from 2001 to 2005. ~~~ On today’s Natural North Dakota, Chuck Lura tells us about “Wild Columbines.” ~~~ Caleb Kobilansky recently completed a two-week run from Grand Forks to Williston designed to raise awareness of the environmental impact of oil development, while also acknowledging the benefits.
