posted on 01/26/2015

Monday, January 26 – Jill Kandel grew up in North Dakota, but she has also lived and worked in Zambia, Indonesia, England and the Netherland. Her new book is getting great reviews. She joins us to talk about “So Many Africas: Six Years in a Zambian Village.” It’s the 2014 winner of the Autumn House Nonfiction Prize. ~~~ The point-in-time survey is a measure of homelessness. It happens every year in January. Prairie Public’s Todd McDonald visits with Dan Mahli, the community development administrator for the city of Fargo; and Michael Carbone, the executive director of the North Dakota Coalition for Homeless People, Inc. to see how North Dakota’s numbers compare with years past.
