  Tuesday, July 7 –Norma Thorstad Knapp grew up on southwest North Dakota. She shares stories of hardship and heartbreak in her new memoir, “Scoria Roads, Twenty Houses in Twenty-One Years.” ~~~ Today we begin a series, “Lost Writers of the Plains.” Every Tuesday for the next two months, we’ll feature a different writer. We begin with LaSelle Gilman in this report from producer Robyn Murray. ~~~ A preview of the Winnipeg Folk Festival as Bill Thomas visits with artistic director Chris Frayer.
