The TL Donat Legacy Circle

Funding the Future

Charitable Lead Trust

In a charitable lead trust, the donor transfers cash or assets to a trust that provides regular, fixed income to Prairie Public Broadcasting for a period of time—a set number of years receives a regular, fixed amount from the trust for a period of a year or the lifetime of the designated person.

At the end of that time, the remainder of the trust passes to the donor’s heirs, typically children or grandchildren.

This is an excellent way to help Prairie Public Broadcasting now, but leave assets to your heirs, particularly if you expect those assets to grow over the next several years.
