Minot: When The Water Recedes
Visiting Minot today, what strikes a visitor is the steady sound of fans and pumps and generators as homeowners struggle to save what they can. For anyone who has never lived through a disaster of this scale, it isn’t possible to imagine the level of devastation this flood produced. In order to raise awareness of the suffering that follows one of North Dakota’s worst disasters, Prairie Public tells the story of the flood through first hand accounts of Minot residents who are trying to pick up the pieces and make plans for the future.
