Several times a year, Prairie Public holds live radio and television membership drives. These drives help us gather the contributions Prairie Public needs to keep our wonderful original productions, PBS, and NPR programming on the air. During these drives, Prairie Public relies heavily on the help of volunteers and restaurant partners. A brief training session will be provided for volunteers upon arrival. While in our television or radio studio, we have beverages, snacks, and a small meal provided by area businesses.
Television Drives: Groups of 4-6 volunteers are needed for each shift.
Radio Drives: Individuals or groups of 2-3 are invited.
Food DonorsAdditionally, local restaurants and caterers generously donate food for Prairie Public's membership drives. The donated food feeds the volunteers who come in to answer the phones. In exchange for providing food, each vendor receives many on-air mentions throughout the day of donation.
