Radio Studio Operator (Fargo, ND)

Prairie Public seeks to hire a studio operations person for its radio network. The position directly supports Prairie Public’s statewide local show, Main Street, as well as production for Prairie Public’s community partnerships. The position supports production for local and national news, commentary, interview and fundraising-related content for the network. 

The position will be the primary fill-in announcer/board operator for the network during vacation periods, breaking news and special live coverage.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or relevant work experience
• Experience with computers, automation systems, and digital production and editing required
• Requires strong time management skills and technical skills, demonstrable experience with writing and editing
• Be able to work periodically on the weekends, irregular hours, and holidays as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Enco, Content Depot, and Wheatstone network
  • Prairie Public will provide training for candidates with similar experience
• Growth mindset and ability to stay current with changing media technologies
